Generally, the package includes accommodation, government ferry tickets for inter-island transfer, private air-conditioned car sightseeing, entry permits, tickets as well as morning breakfast. Other additional activities such as water sports (scuba diving, jet skiing, glass bottom boat rides) can be made available at an additional cost. Flights are usually not included in the package, but our Andaman Bliss team can assist you in the flight booking process.
Central Government employees, bank employees and public/private sector employees eligible for Leave Travel Concession (LTC) are entitled to use the package. Employees need to have 1 year continuous service. Employees with a spouse working for Indian Railways or National Airlines are excluded. The reimbursement of the costs incurred will depend on the best value charge if it is to be paid in accordance with government instructions.
Government ferries will be used for inter-island travel (i.e., from Port Blair it is to Havelock and Neil Island etc) as reimbursement through the LTC process is only for travel undertaken by Government Transport are allowed in the LTC request process. Generally, private cruises like Makruzz or Green Ocean which are not are not eligible for LTC claims.
To claim for LTC, submit the duly filled LTC form, travel based proofs (government ferry tickets with proof of identity, registered boarding passes with proof of identity/ PNR), and bills to your department. Remember, only travel expenses (i.e. airfare, government ferries) will be reimbursed but you cannot claim the expenses that include accommodation and water sports.
No, airfares are not included in our 8 days Andaman LTC tour package. We fully focus on ground services like accommodations, ferry transfers and transportations. As our Andaman bliss team can help you through the flight booking process.
The best time to visit Andaman is from October to May, as the weather is excellent for sightseeing and water sports. 3-6 months is the recommended time frame for booking flights and ferries, so that you have better prices and your accommodations are confirmed.
For permits and ferry rides, you need a government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, passport, or voter ID). If you are claiming LTC, keep your flight boarding passes, ferry tickets, and any bills. Foreigners have to carry a passport, Indian visa and Restricted Area Permit (RAP).
It is advisable to pack light weight and breathable clothes such as cotton t-shirt, shorts and beach wear due to the tropical climate you will be in. Make sure you pack comfortable walking shoes for sightseeing, flip flops for the beach and hat or sunglasses for sun protection.
You will have to arrive at Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair via flights from cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai or Kolkata. The LTC tour package to Andaman includes airport pick up and drop services but excludes flight tickets. Inter-island travel to Havelock, Neil and other islands is by ferry.
Yes, children are definitely most welcome, and the LTC package is family-friendly. Additionally, in the LTC scheme, up to two unmarried dependent children under 25 years of age allowed for reimbursement of travel costs. Family activities include activities on beaches and light & sound shows, water sports may have an age limit.
