Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about your Andaman island tour

Andaman is home to several breathtaking islands. The most popular ones include Havelock Island (for Radhanagar Beach and water sports), Neil Island (for tranquil beaches), Ross Island (for historical ruins), Baratang Island (for limestone caves and mud volcanoes), and North Bay Island (for snorkeling and scuba diving).

The ideal duration depends on the number of islands you wish to explore. A 5 to 7-day itinerary is recommended to visit major attractions like Port Blair, Havelock, Neil, and Ross Island. For a more relaxed experience, 7 to 10 days are ideal.

Andaman offers thrilling activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, sea walking, glass-bottom boat rides, jet skiing, parasailing, and trekking. You can also explore historical sites, visit limestone caves, and relax on pristine beaches.

Inter-island travel is facilitated by government and private ferries, speedboats, and seaplanes (limited availability). The most common and reliable mode of transport is ferries, which operate between Port Blair, Havelock, and Neil Island.

The best time to visit Andaman is between October and May, as the weather is pleasant with clear skies and calm seas, making it ideal for sightseeing and water activities. The monsoon season (June to September) is not recommended due to rough seas and unpredictable weather.

Indian tourists do not require any permits to visit Andaman. However, foreign nationals need a Restricted Area Permit (RAP), which can be obtained on arrival at Port Blair Airport or from Indian embassies abroad. Some islands like Nicobar are restricted for all tourists.
